The genius folk of Billings

So, there's this store in Billings that sells used boxes, "HALF THE PRICE AS NEW BOXES!!"

I thought that was pretty genius and I may have found a new career...

In other news, the drive from Billings to Sheridan, WY is beautiful. I'm slowly falling in love with this area. It's pretty much how you might picture paradise - rolling hills of all shades of green with rivers running through the flatlands, jagged snow-capped mountains in the background, horses everywhere, etc. I saw cowgirls herding cattle today! I also saw some type of animal that looked like a beaver without the crazy tail. I forgot the name of it, but I remember thinking, "Ah, so that's what that animal I have heard of looks like." They are very cute...when they are alive, at least; the dead one wasn't so cute.

My camera died as soon as I got to the work site for the upcoming project, which was certainly a bummer, but it will be all charged up and ready to go for tomorrow and YELLOWSTONE (If I decide to brave it)! I'm planning on seeing many baby animals and I'm sure I will make you look at many pictures of each, cute little one....

For now, I will leave you with this picture from this past weekend's trip to SF and CHINATOWN, which is completely unrelated to the genius folk of Billings, but that's ok. Those folk are pretty genius, too.

10 months = a whole new life

Hey everyone,

Wow, so I just logged on since this past July. It's been sometime. At the time I wrote the last blog, I had no idea that I would be moving from my Chicago to Davis, CA, that I would be taking a job with NCCC, and that I would be going the places I now get to adventure to (even if it is for work and only in the USA). Now, here I am, 10 months later in Billings, MT (Montana's largest city - what?) at the Country Inn and Suites (only the best for us Feds), waiting for tomorrow to come so that I can go visit a sponsor for an upcoming project in Sheridan, WY. Who knew?!

I decided to log back on and try this thing out again. My plan is to update while traveling for work (or play) and let you see the world through the eyes of, well, me. True, this may not be all that exciting. However, I do get to see a few funny, strange, interesting and beautiful things now and again. We'll see what I can come up with and if I stick to it. Now, if I only brought my cord to upload pictures. DOH! I guess you'll have to wait for my personal picts upon my return. For now, enjoy the oh-so-inspiring words (add a touch of sarcasm here) I type every now and again when I have internet access and am not too tired from my travels.

:) Anna
