Nature

In the past couple months we've had the chance to go to both Yosemite and the Tahoe area. Yosemite was a short, but great trip with Tim's parents. Tahoe was to my most favorite place on earth that I've been going to since I was a wee little thing. (I can't tell you where for fear you will go there ;) ) .We spent a week there and it was much-needed after the last 3-6 months of the job, which has been quite stressful actually. Tahoe was just what I needed. I hope to go back this summer. I felt a little bad about Yosemite because the trip came at what was probably the most stressed I've ever been at my job and it was difficult to relax and enjoy!

In Tahoe, my brother even got to put the boat in the water that he made when he was 16. It was awesome.

Freestone, CA: a 35th Birthday Celebration

Yesterday, two of my very long-time friends and I spent the day together to celebrate our 35th birthdays. We've been friends since about age 5! We all were born a few weeks apart. It was great to share the day with people that know you so well. Here are a few shots from the spa we went to for the day. They have something very unique: a cedar enzyme bath. It's quite an experience. I would basically describe this as laying in wood shavings. This was my 2nd time doing it and it was better the second time around I think. We also got a massage and facial. Most of these photos are from their amazing Japanese garden that you can relax in after your treatment(s).

We stopped by a fabulous bakery on the way out. Besides the spa, it's pretty much the only thing in the tiny town, Freestone.
