Freestone, CA: a 35th Birthday Celebration

Yesterday, two of my very long-time friends and I spent the day together to celebrate our 35th birthdays. We've been friends since about age 5! We all were born a few weeks apart. It was great to share the day with people that know you so well. Here are a few shots from the spa we went to for the day. They have something very unique: a cedar enzyme bath. It's quite an experience. I would basically describe this as laying in wood shavings. This was my 2nd time doing it and it was better the second time around I think. We also got a massage and facial. Most of these photos are from their amazing Japanese garden that you can relax in after your treatment(s).

We stopped by a fabulous bakery on the way out. Besides the spa, it's pretty much the only thing in the tiny town, Freestone.

Napa: It's not a bad place.

A few weekends ago, we headed to Napa. There's this amazing dog park there. The following weekend we went again when Tim's friend from Chicago came into town.

I was pretty excited when I figured out how to make the water look like water.

This is pretty much Turkey's heaven.

There's this cool swing there, also.

We discovered this very Napa/Northern CA place to eat. It has all sorts of food stands with "local" and "organic" ingredients (of course). I'm not gonna lie, I liked it...especially the cupcake place.
